I know right, you wait seven years for a new Jim Bob solo album and then two turn up at once. Following on from 2020’s critically acclaimed and chart smashing album ‘Pop Up Jim Bob’, ‘WHO DO WE HATE TODAY’ is released on Cherry Red Records this August 20. Recorded in South London, backed by The Hoodrats, ‘WHO DO WE HATE TODAY’ brings us songs about the end of the world as we know it, the sirens and sounds of the emergency services, lonely elephants, men, fear of random attacks, and at least one song about the stupid year we’ve all just experienced
The album comes in a similar set of formats and with special exclusive bonus gubbins like ‘Pop Up Jim Bob’ – The gatefold vinyl comes with a 2022 Jim Bob calendar, the CD comes with signed Jim Bob beermats (which you can also use for coffee mugs, teacups, Absinth tumblers etc) and due to surprisingly (to Jim) high demand, there’s a limited-edition cassette. Each format has different artwork, designed by Mark Reynolds
Anyone crazy/beautiful enough to purchase TWO physical formats (Vinyl and CD. CD and cassette. Vinyl and Cassette) from the CHERRY RED website will receive a download copy of ‘Who Do We Love Today’, an album of cover versions of songs that Jim loves
The album can be pre-ordered from Friday. But we are looking into arranging a sexy early link for anyone on the Carter mailing list so you don’t miss out on the limited edition gubbins (signed beermats) and so on. Watch your email inboxes
